For walkers, the Island of Groix offers marked trails with breathtaking views of the ocean and the wild coastline. The coastal path, which circles the island, is particularly popular for its exceptional panoramas. You’ll discover a great diversity of landscapes, from steep cliffs to secluded coves.
Among the must-do hikes, the Pointe des Chats will enchant you with its rock formations sculpted by erosion and its iconic lighthouse. The François Le Bail nature reserve, meanwhile, is home to preserved flora and fauna, including some rare species. A walk to the Grands Sables beach—unique in Europe for its shifting convex sand—is also a must.
