Compagnie Océane is deeply connected to the sea. Each ferry crossing to the island of Groix offers a unique spectacle, revealing the beauty of the Lorient roadstead. It’s a great opportunity to discover Lorient’s six ports, including the passenger port, as well as the iconic landmarks of the harbor.
We are proud to be a partner for the third consecutive year of the Lorient Océans festival, which celebrates the maritime actors of the roadstead.
Lorient Océans: the major maritime event of the summer
For this third edition, Lorient Océans will once again showcase the city of six ports (passenger, commercial, fishing, military, yachting, and offshore racing) and highlight the many activities of the Lorient harbor.
For four days, on land and at sea—from June 27 to June 30, 2024—visitors can enjoy a wide range of events and activities between the Lorient La Base site and the Keroman fishing port.
We’ll be present this year in the festival village, alongside the “Maison de la Mer” (House of the Sea), offering a fun and engaging activity related to our maritime operations: “Set Sail for Groix.”
On Sunday, June 30, in the early afternoon, enjoy a spectacular maritime show visible from every vantage point along the harbor: the traditional Grande Parade, featuring the typical boats that represent Lorient’s maritime identity.
A prize contest to celebrate the sea
As part of the festival, we’re organizing a special prize contest starting Monday, June 17, giving you the chance to win a day of escape on June 29: 2 round-trip tickets to Groix and 2 tickets to Louane’s concert in Lorient that evening.
