Heritage Hikes on the Island of Groix

The municipality and partner associations of Groix are organizing the 8th edition of the Heritage Hike, taking place on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

What’s on the program?

Free and open to all, the heritage hikes offer a full day to explore Groix’s coastal paths and inner trails while discovering its rich heritage: washhouses and fountains, chapels, standing stones and dolmens, lighthouse, the traditional house of Kerlard…

Two circuits are offered by the association Grek Rando:

• A full-day hike towards Locmaria, approximately 20 km
• A half-day hike towards Pen Men, approximately 11 km

Participants planning to return to the mainland the same evening are advised to choose the shorter route.

A festive weekend on Groix

For hikers staying over the weekend, a festive local dinner made with seasonal island products is planned on Saturday evening at the community hall (€17), followed by a traditional fest-noz (Breton dance night) hosted by the Groix Celtic Circle.
