BreizhGo Océane, a service of the Brittany Region operated by Transdev Océane, provides maritime connections to the islands of Morbihan (Belle-Île-en-Mer, Groix, Houat, and Hoëdic) from Quiberon and Lorient. This public service, organized under a Public Service Delegation (DSP), ensures year-round regular crossings for island residents as well as visitors.
Preparing the future of the quiberon – belle-île-en-mer maritime service
Among these routes, the Quiberon – Le Palais connection is essential: it links Belle-Île-en-Mer to the mainland and transports passengers, vehicles, and goods every day. For over 25 years, the vessel Vindilis has been providing this service. The Brittany Region is now preparing to replace it, with a clear goal: to offer a modern vessel that is more environmentally friendly, comfortable, and adapted to future needs, for the 2030–2060 horizon.
Take part in the discussion: your opinion matters
To design the future maritime service to Belle-Île-en-Mer, the Brittany Region is launching a consultation with all users of the Quiberon – Belle-Île line. Until September 21, an online questionnaire is available for you to share your feedback, expectations, and ideas on crossings, accessibility, and the overall organisation of the service.
Your responses will complement the analyses and help build a sustainable, well-balanced service project.
In collaboration with the municipalities of Belle-Île-en-Mer, in-person consultation sessions organised by the Brittany Region will also take place on Friday, September 19, and Saturday, September 20.
