Looking for a family activity during the All Saints’ break? You had the brilliant idea to spend a day away on Groix Island.
Upon arrival at Port Tudy, after less than an hour’s crossing aboard the Breizh Nevez I, choose a slow and eco-friendly way to explore. Whether on foot, by bike, or even by scooter, you’ll have plenty of time to see a good part of the island.
Morning in the village
Why not start with a hot chocolate at Port Tudy before diving into discovery? During the Tourism and Know-How Week, Groix et Nature opens its doors to visitors. On your way there, stroll through the charming village of Groix, admire its church, the shipowners’ houses, and the Cinéma des Familles. Around a small chapel, drop by the island’s glassmaker and his original creations.
Then, head to the workshop of the Groix-based cannery company, specialized in preserving seafood delicacies. Chances are you won’t leave empty-handed…
Fun-filled afternoon
After a tasty break at your choice of restaurant — crêperie, brasserie, or traditional eatery — it’s time for a treasure hunt exploring the island’s history and secrets. To make the most of this family-friendly half-day activity, rent bikes directly on the island or bring your own aboard our ships. The 11 km loop will lead you through Groix’s most beautiful trails in about 3 hours. Don’t forget to pick up your game kit at the tourist office.
After such a lovely day, you’ll already be dreaming of coming back.
