Participate in the Festival that celebrates the inhabitants of the Ponant islands

The Les Insulaires Festival is a festival that, once a year, brings together the inhabitants of the Ponant islands on one of the islands of the territory. Open to all and free, it takes place on the Île-aux-Moines for this 9th edition on September 23, 24, and 25, 2022, with departures from Baden, Larmor-Baden, or Arradon!
An insular event
The festival was first launched in 2011, with the support of Compagnie Océane. This unique insular festival is open to everyone—young and old, islanders or mainlanders. Its goal: to bring together in a festive setting the inhabitants of the Ponant islands and to highlight the know-how of the island populations. It is also an opportunity for the inhabitants of the Ponant islands and the economic actors of the territory to discuss insular issues (employment, transport, housing, resources…).
After two years of postponement due to the health context, the festival is being held this year on the Île-aux-Moines on September 23, 24, and 25, 2022.
A free festive program open to all
About ten concerts spread over 3 days, enough to satisfy all musical tastes;
Street art animated by Cabaret Biz’art at the town hall square on Saturday and many activities in local shops throughout the weekend;
Brass bands and the famous parade in island costumes;
A local producers’ market where you will find the association Savoir-Faire des Îles du Ponant and the island village focused on youth themes;
A large debate led on Friday by a France 3 journalist on the theme of housing on the islands;
More sportive activities, such as a Godille rowing race.
A long-standing partnership
A partner since the festival’s inception, we are delighted to participate in this 9th edition.
We are a key player in island life. We are not just a “mobility service,” we are part of the daily lives of island populations and the economic life of the islands. We ensure the permanent connection between the Morbihan islands and the mainland, both for the movement of inhabitants and for the transport of goods they depend on. We employ nearly half of our workforce from the islanders, making Compagnie Océane a major economic player on the islands.
