2024 Fare Updates

08 January 2024

As of January 8, 2024, the crossing fares to Belle-Île-en-Mer, Île de Groix, Houat, and Hoëdic will be subject to an increase that reflects the rising operating costs. In addition, the Port of Le Palais has voted to raise its port charges, effective in 2024. Lastly, the BreizhGo Solidaire fare now includes new eligible beneficiaries.

Le Palais sets new port charges

Le Palais has voted to increase its port charges starting in January 2024, in order to fund maintenance work on its infrastructure. These new charges, which affect all port users, are applied across all our fares, alongside VAT and the Barnier tax*. As a result, the all-tax-included prices for passenger and vehicle tickets on the Quiberon – Le Palais route may differ slightly from the fares on other routes, which remain unchanged.

Only full passenger fares, excluding islander fares, are subject to the environmental protection tax known as the Barnier tax.

The BreizhGo Solidaire fare is extended

The BreizhGo Solidaire fare, already in effect on the BreizhGo bus and TER train networks and applied to individuals over 18 on our maritime routes in 2023, is now also available to children (aged 4 to 17) of eligible beneficiaries. Card applications must be submitted to the regional authorities based on income conditions.

To make travel easier for family or designated caregivers, Compagnie Océane now offers the “Caregiver Card.” It allows holders to benefit from the BreizhGo Solidaire fare.
