The new Quiberon ferry terminal

15 June 2021

The Brittany Region, as Port Authority and responsible for island connections, has launched the construction of the new Quiberon ferry terminal

Built in 1972, the current ferry terminal, which welcomes around 1 million passengers per year, now needs to be redesigned into a modern, modular facility accessible to all users. This ambitious project, located in the heart of the town, aims to meet the comfort and needs of users — whether islanders, holidaymakers or second-home residents — traveling to or from Houat, Hoëdic or Belle-Île, while also addressing the challenges of territorial continuity.

The goal is to provide a facility suited to the significant seasonal variations in traffic, and to ensure optimal operating conditions for all activities using the ferry terminal: the transport of passengers, vehicles, and goods.

The project will extend over three years, with a work stoppage during July and August, which will disrupt access and boarding conditions. On our website, you will find several pages with information on access to the ferry terminal or parking in Quiberon.

For more information, we invite you to consult the Brittany Region’s website.
